A substantial DLC may be coming to soon, andit definitely needs to avoid being about Quidditch. The 2023 RPG based on the series captivated fans with its dedicated attention to detail in both the story and the game environment, as players took their own place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Despite a successful launch and continued interest, there has been no confirmed announcement of DLC for the game.
The AAA titled by Avalanche Software confirmed very early on thatit would not be including Quidditch at release and, at this point, it may be better offnot including Quidditch in the game at all. With the middling success of, any DLC would be better served focusing on fleshing out other original characters or exploring a previously less seen corner of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade.
One of the biggest gaps in upon release was the lack of Quidditch, the iconic broomstick sport from the series. The inclusion of broomsticks only made the absence of Quidditch even more obvious to fans who desperately wanted to play, with the empty quidditch field a monument to its loss. The logistics of Quidditch were too difficult for to include at launch, mostly because of the nature of the fictional game.

Quidditch isn’t actually that fun of a game to play. While depictions of the sport are captivating in the movies or books, that’s mostly due to the fact that the audience is following Harry Potter in his role as Seeker. This position mostly ignores the game and focuses solely on capturing an evasive ball called the Snitch, which grants enough points to usually win the game. In fact, the game cannot end until the Snitch is caught, which makes the Seeker even more important.
