Konami has this morning announced its excellent PS5, PC remake of Silent Hill 2, produced in conjunction with Bloober Team, has sold more than one million copies since its release on 8th October 2024. The total combines shipped copies and digital downloads, making it the fastest-selling entry in the series to date. A 48-hour period of early access will have also contributed to the sales milestone.
It marks a strong return for the survival horror franchise, which Konami will hope to build on with new instalments such as Silent Hill: Townfall and Silent Hill F in the future. In our Silent Hill 2 PS5 review, we highly praised Bloober Team for «faithfully and respectfully» recreating «one of the survival horror genre’s all-time greats». Awarding a 9/10 rating, we loved the modernisation of its combat, exploration, and story. We also produced a comprehensive Silent Hill 2 guide, providing Puzzle Solutions, Collectible locations, and a thorough Walkthrough.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he's found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
My first thought reading this was, I wonder if this scenario would make Square Enix happy...
Delighted for Bloober Team though. They were getting a lot of flack after that combat trailer.
Maybe this weekend I'll actually have the guts to walk further than the church...
Great! Perfect incentive to invest in new additions to the franchise.
