Gold Beetles are key items that can be found throughout Metaphor: ReFantazio. At the beginning of the game, you won't have a use for them, but once you reach Port Brilehaven around 25 or 30 hours into the adventure, you'll come across an old man who'll trade your Gold Beetles for rare and powerful equipment.

By our count, there are a total of 49 Gold Beetles in the game, but you only need to find 46 to trade for the old man's final reward, and unlock the All That Glitters Trophy.
