Smite 2 Patch 7 is now live for the Smite 2 Closed Alpha, adding three new Gods in Thor, Poseidon, and Cupid. Well, ‘new’ as they are actually returning characters from the original title, but hey, they’ve got a new coat of paint.
Thor, the God of Thunder, wields his mighty hammer Mjolnir and arrives with a number of new features:
- Berserker’s Barrage or Anvil of Doom will now put Thor into a ‘Thunderstruck’ state dealing bonus damage capable of arcing to two additional targets.
- Tectonic Rift can now be activated a second time to bring the ability’s spawned fissure down early.
- Berserker Barrage: Thunderstruck status lasts for three seconds.
- Anvil of Dawn: Thunderstruck status lasts for six seconds.
Poseidon, the Greek God of the Seas, has returned mostly unchanged. His only new addition is to his Trident ability, which now allows Tidal Surge and Basic attacks to fire two additional projectiles.
Cupid, the Roman God of Love, fares a bit better, with a variety of new tweaks and additions.
- Lovestruck now can grant Cupid of to 16 stacks.
- Share the Love’s explosive bomb is now delayed, exploding in an area of effect after .75s. If Cupid has at least 8 stacks of Lovestruck, Share the Love will grant him a temporary Strength and Intelligence buff.
- Flutter now grants allies who are standing on its trail a Attack Speed and Movement Speed buff.
- Fields of Love will now heal allies inside the area of effect when it explodes. If Cupid has at least 8 stacks of Lovestruck, the ability’s default Mesmerize effect will be upgraded to a Stun.
