However, recent developments have shown these systems are not as great as first thought. Though, when compared to many other games, especially free-to-play ones, it is a huge upgrade.

Units, the blue currency, are used to buy all skin bundles and are earned through achievements or turning Lattice into them. Lattice is the premium currency bought from the store or acquired in small amounts in each battle pass. Lastly, Chronotokens are used to unlock rewards from the battle pass, acquired by completing daily, seasonal, and event missions.
Unfortunately, all Chronotokens earned throughout a season will reset when a new season begins. The one caveat to this is any tokens bought with Lattice will not reset. This makes sense as it would be taking away the rewards people have paid for. Luckily, any Chronotokens a player has at the end of the season will be used to auto-claim any rewards left in the battle pass. However, this is on a set path, so it may not always reward the cosmetics players want.

It is unfortunate that tokens reset at the start of every season, but not uncommon.
