Unsurprisingly, there was no new GTA 6 trailer on 27th December as some fans had convinced themselves would be the case. Officially, the title’s still on course for a 2025 release date, however, so enthusiasts are driving themselves wild trying to find as much information as possible.
One discovery that’s been getting a massive amount of attention this week is a version of the PS5 open worlder’s trailer uploaded to Chinese website BiliBili. The bitrate used on the website is higher than that of western websites like YouTube and X, and so it reveals previously unseen details.
Fans on Reddit have been quite literally poring over every frame of the higher resolution video, discovering previously invisible details like stretch marks on one particular NPC’s thighs and arm hair. There’s nothing really revolutionary here, but it does re-confirm that the Rockstar release will have absurdly detailed visuals.

Of course, what we’re all really itching for is a new trailer. Obviously, we know the sequel will have a Bonnie & Clyde-style storyline, but we’re still waiting for further information on gameplay and the title’s all-important online multiplayer mode.
