The Unpacking mobile release date has finally been announced! Come August 24, you’ll be able to unpack boxes without needing to worry about making a mess.
We first reported on the announcement of the mobile port back in mid-June. Here we are, just under two months later, with an official launch date – brilliant!
For more information about the game, visit the official website. Unpacking doesn’t show up on Google Play just yet, but we’ll be sure to update this article as soon as it’s available!
The game has already proven to be a great success on PC and console, so it makes sense that this relaxing little game has finally made its way to the smaller screen.
While the Switch can provide “on-the-go” gameplay, there’s something uniquely convenient about whipping out your mobile device while traveling home from a long day at work. While unpacking a bunch of boxes may not sound like everyone’s cup of tea, you can rest assured that Unpacking, the game that is, is much more than that.
There’s something homely and ultimately authentic about this cosy title. It’s not the longest game in the world, and we do have to note that it will cost around $10 on Google Play. However, we reckon that it’s worth the extra cost.
One of our highlights from the game is when you’re emptying boxes in the kitchen. The low hum of the fridge fills the room as you take out your favourite mugs, placing them next to the toaster. In our opinion, the game has tons of replayability, and there are quite a few achievements to hunt down! If you’re looking for new games to play while you wait for the Android release of Unpacking, take a look at our Best Android Casual Games guide – you’ll definitely find a game or two to pass the time.
