Larian Studios has knocked it out of the park with Baldur's Gate 3, shooting up the Steam charts as soon as it launched and being well-received by fans and critics alike. While this new release has many players hopping on the Baldur's Gate series for the first time, there are a few things thrown in there for older fans, and one of them is Minsc, the loveable ranger, and Boo, his even more lovable companion. But that doesn't mean they haven't made a single appearance elsewhere since Baldur's Gate 2.
Original Baldur's Gate developers, BioWare, loved the pair so much that there are a bunch of references to them in its other games. Across Mass Effect and Dragon Age, little nods to the duo are everywhere when you know what to look for. But unsurprisingly, it's Boo who's stolen the show, as the adorable rodent even made an appearance in Mass Effect 2 - maybe.

You see, Boo isn't just a hamster. He's a miniature giant space hamster. Yes, that is his actual description in the games. So, of course, it was only natural that when BioWare made its own space-faring IP, it included Boo's species in the lore, once again including the name miniature giant space hamster.
Better yet, this is the type of hamster that Shepard picks up in Mass Effect 2 (and 3, if you transfer your save over.) There's no way to tell if this is Boo himself. You're in space, there's bound to be loads of miniature giant space hamsters roaming around. But it's the pet's appearance in the Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC that suggests Boo has been dimension-hopping this whole time.
