The '90s are back in a killer piece of Superboy and Robin fan art. A talented artist on Twitter has created a new piece that confirms it's Conner Kent and Tim Drake's time to shine once more, banishing the specter of years in the wilderness for both characters.
Not only are Tim and Conner the best of friends, they were two of the most popular young heroes in the DC Universe in the '90s. Tim fought for the honor of becoming the new Boy Wonder while Conner burst onto the scene as a potential replacement for Superman. The heroes experienced a rise in popularity when Superboy and Robin founded Young Justice along with the Flash's future grandson, Impulse. But the heroes would eventually find themselves displaced by younger versions such as Jonathan Kent and Damian Wayne, who would serve as the Superboy and Robin of a new generation. Conner even vanished from DC reality for a few years, eventually discovered in an alternate dimension by his friends and recently brought back into canon.

Now, however, fans are showing renewed interest in the two heroes. Tim Drake recently came out as bisexual, and is set to rejoin the Dark Knight in the Batman comic's new era. Meanwhile, Jon Kent has been welcomed back by Superman as his brother, and will soon star in Superboy: The Man of Tomorrow after winning DC's Round Robin competition. This renewed focus is celebrated in a new piece of fan art from @Adingcold, recently shared on Twitter. A seeming time displacement has caused the Super Sons, Robin and Superboy, to find themselves in Hawaii in 1998. Who else would they run into at that time and place other that Conner Kent, dressed in his beloved leather jacket.
