Tim Drake has held the Robin mantle for the longest time, out of all of Batman's sidekicks in DC Comics. Debuting in 1990 as the Boy Wonder, and continuing to today, Tim Drake has been the definitive Robin for at least one generation of comic book readers. For many fans, Tim Drake is commonly known as Batman's smartest Robin, but his compassionate side remains one of his best qualities. And while it is easy to take Tim's emotional intelligence for granted nowadays, his earlier Robin comics show how that trait was instilled in him by Alfred Pennyworth.
Tim Drake's intelligence is one of the Bat-Family's greatest assets, as he has proven time and time again how useful it is in the field. Out of all of Batman's Robins, Tim is the only one to have volunteered for the role, having deduced on his own that Bruce Wayne was Batman, and Dick Grayson used to be Robin. While Tim isn't the Bat-Family's best fighter, he makes up for it with his leadership skills and quick thinking. But as other members of the Teen Titans can attest to, intelligence itself isn't a quality that automatically deserves praise, a fact that Alfred was quick to remind him of when he came to blows with the fourth Robin, Damian Wayne.
