A newly released Gotham Knights trailer shows Robin in action, and the new game’s version of Tim Drake just might give his mentor Batman a run for his money thanks to his wide array of combat techniques and high-tech gadgets. Robin is one of four heroes tasked with defending Gotham City from the sinister Court of Owls following Bruce Wayne’s mysterious death in Gotham Knights, which is being developed by the studio behind Batman: Arkham Origins, WB Games Montréal.
The third in the long line of heroic teens who have worn the mantle of Robin over the years, Tim Drake is often hailed as a tactical and scientific genius on par with the Dark Knight himself. In the comics, he has deduced the secret identities of many of DC's most famous heroes all by himself and has proven to be a valued member of the Bat Family and the Teen Titans due to his incredible martial arts prowess and skills in forensics, criminology, biology, and engineering. While Tim’s appearances as Robin in Batman: Arkham downplayed these aspects of his character, Gotham Knights appears to be embracing his technological expertise in the form of his ability to tap into the Justice League’s orbital satellite to teleport short distances.

The most recent Gotham Knights character trailer has just been released on the official Gotham Knights YouTube channel and highlights Robin’s full range of combat and transversal abilities. It begins with Tim’s voiceover narration reflecting on how he is now “Robin without a Batman” as he takes to the streets to thwart a robbery at the Gotham City National Bank.
