Although he's a fan favorite, Tim Drake has had problems finding his own identity within the DC Universe, and it turns out, his superhero friends would agree. With Tim Drake getting his own comic series soon, it's more important than ever for DC to decide who exactly he is.
Tim Drake holds the distinction of being the only Robin that sought Batman out. Dick Grayson was adopted after his parents died, Jason Todd was recruited from a criminal life, and Damian Wayne fell into the role by being Bruce's son. In contrast, Tim used his own detective skills to deduce who Bruce was. When he realized Robin was no longer around, Tim implored Dick to return to the role, but Dick had already grown into becoming his own hero, Nightwing. Knowing that Batman always needed Robin to balance him out, Tim eventually grew into becoming the Boy Wonder. As he grew up though, Tim struggled to grow out of that identity. Damian Wayne eventually took over for Tim as Robin. But with Damian not around, Tim has stepped up and returned to being Robin.

But in DC Pride: Tim Drake Special #1 by Megan Fitz Martin, Belen Ortega, and Alberto Jimenez Albuquerque, Tim is talking with Oracle and she makes note of his identity crisis. On the very first page, Oracle asks if he's just Robin now, or still going by Red Robin. Because she makes a point of saying she will not call him Drake. As it turns out, Tim Drake's identity crisis is deeper than fans thought.
