Due to a strange death effect in the game, one Elden Ring player died twice to a boss that they fought and killed. Being the kind of game that it is, there are many ways to die in Elden Ring, many of which are intentional, like those high-level players that die to Malenia over 300 times or when the game tricks the player into activating a trap that kills them instantly. In other cases, it can be an accident, either due to a glitch or some problem with the game that causes death to happen, which can be frustrating to many players.
In Elden Ring there are locations known as Evergaols, and these locations are a gateway into an isolated boss fight removed from the open world. These are usually filled with a decent challenge for the players starting out, especially against foes like the ever-humiliating Crucible Knights that are good at stopping healing. There is one location known as the Cuckoo's Evergaol, which houses the boss fight for Bols, Carian Knight, a towering giant that slams and bashes the player, with long wind-ups to attacks that heavily punish the player.

It was against Elden Ring's Bols, Carian Knight that this one player came across their double death. In a post on r/Eldenring, user monkeybusiness91 uploaded a video wherein they are facing off against the boss. They are doing well, getting behind Bols to attack him like many recommend until they get a bit too greedy on one combo, swinging just as Bols stomps on them. Both attacks connect, and they both die, giving the player the victory while still having to be teleported to the nearest Stake of Marika. When they do, after the revive animation plays, they suddenly die again.
