A new Elden Ring patch is coming later today on March 23.
This morning, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco announced Elden Ring's servers would be undergoing maintenance for patch 1.09. Now that the game's servers have been take offline, in just a few short hours patch 1.09 should be available for download on all platforms worldwide.

This patch is going to feature "balance adjustments and bug fixes," primarily. No, this doesn't mean the new patch is stealth-launching Elden Ring DLC, despite the hordes of responses to the tweet above begging FromSoftware to pull DLC out of nowhere and implement it into the game right now.
This is actually going to be Elden Ring's first patch this year, as it happens. The previous patch, which launched back in December 2022, focused on fixing just two bugs from the Colosseum update, as well as various other stability changes and balance improvements.
It doesn't sound like this new patch will be making any significant changes to bosses or weapons. The last few Elden Ring patches have sort of backed off on any significant balance updates, and there's definitely a feeling that we're finally nearing the end of the road for major boss shake-ups.
