A Starfield Dynamic weather mod has been made available, adding a dynamic weather system to the game with plenty of variation and transitions.
Bethesda's latest hit title offers weather effects such as thunderstorms and rain by default, but for some, the transition speed might be too slow due to the game's timescale. This mod allows PC players to change the speed of in-game weather transitions on top of allowing entirely new weather variations in different planet biomes/climates.
Created by modder 'Ainsy', this Starfield dynamic weather mod allows for sandstorms, thunderstorms, rain, snow, sun variations, and more - even for areas that shouldn't allow a specific climate. The mod comes with three weather transition presets, including "slow", "medium", and "faster" with "medium" being the recommended preset. Of course, those who would like transitions to be slower can use the "slow" preset, and those who want faster transitions should use the "faster" preset.
"Recently also added a Realistic Version, which will stay true to the game's set biomes so that you won't be seeing snow in the desert anymore", the modder writes. "This version just takes the vanilla cycle and adjusts the timings so that the weather is more enjoyable than vanilla gameplay."
We've included a video of the mod in action below:
Those interested in giving this mod a try can download it from Nexusmods here. There are several files that can be downloaded, including the above-mentioned transition presets as optional files.
