Sony is planning to launch a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PlayStation 5 console bundle.
While the platform holder has yet to officially announce the bundle, it was mentioned at the end of a recently released Modern Warfare 3 trailer and spotted by CharlieIntel.
The trailer in question is for the Lockpick Operator Pack, which is timed PlayStation exclusive DLC for Modern Warfare 3.
It will include the Van Goated Lockpick Operator Skin, the AMRican Gothic Weapon Blueprint, and the Starry Knife Melee Weapon Blueprint.
PS4 and PS5 players who pre-order Modern Warfare 3 through the PlayStation Store will receive the Lockpick Operator Pack when the game’s released on November 10, 2023.
It will also be included with the Modern Warfare 3 PS5 console bundle and be available to purchase standalone on the PlayStation Store.
The DLC won’t be released for other platforms until November 9, 2024.
Sony and Activision have a long-standing Call of Duty marketing deal which in recent years has seen PlayStation owners receive a range of exclusive content including in-game bundles, exclusive game modes and early access to public tests.
The first of two Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer beta weekends, which ends today, is available exclusively on PS4 and PS5.
The game’s second beta weekend will support cross-play on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Microsoft reportedly expects to finally close its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard this week.
In July, Microsoft and Sony signed an agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation after the deal is complete, for a period believed to be 10 years.
