Sons of The Forest update 01 adds hang gliders and fixes a large number of bugs
Sons of the Forest’s first major patch has been released, bringing with it new content and a significant number of fixes.
Most significantly, the update adds binoculars, hang gliders and more new items to be built by players.
A new mini-boss fight has also been added to the game.
Sons of The Forest has enjoyed huge success since it launched into early access last month.
The survival game has already broken into the top 20 list of highest all-time peak players on the independent Steam database SteamDB.
At launch it was the fifth most played game on the platform in its first 24 hours, topping blockbusters like Hogwarts Legacy and Warzone 2.0.
The developer’s previous game, The Forest, is still massively popular and grew a following due to being featured by popular streamers and YouTube content creators.
It’s currently unclear if Sons of the Forest will appear on other platforms. The Forest was released originally on PC in April 2018 before appearing on PlayStation 4 in November.
