PlayStation has seemingly confirmed that both the Metal Gear Solid 3 and Silent Hill 2 remakes are aiming to be released at some point in 2024.
It's been more than a year since Konami announced that it was going to be remaking Silent Hill 2 alongside, somewhat controversially, Bloober Team, and in that time we haven't seen anything else of it beyond the short announcement trailer. With so much anxiety about how such a legendary horror game is going to be handled, fans have been begging for any kind of update on the remake for some time now, something that Bloober has said is out of its hands.
While Konami might not be willing to announce anything on the Silent Hill 2 remake, it looks like PlayStation isn't being quite so secretive, as it seemingly just confirmed that both the Silent Hill 2 remake and Metal Gear Solid 3 remake are aiming to launch at some point in 2024. We'll just have to see how long it takes Konami to deny it.
PlayStation just shared a video on its YouTube channel that highlights all of the upcoming announced games that are coming to PS4 and PS5 in 2024. Most of the games in the video already have been confirmed to launch this year, but the Silent Hill 2 remake and Metal Gear Solid 3 remake haven't got any kind of release windows attached to them right now. It seems that PlayStation has either jumped the gun on the reveal or that it's got the wrong information.
The Silent Hill 2 remake is notably a PlayStation console exclusive, so it seems a little less likely that it somehow got the information wrong.
