Early in the DLC's main story for, V is faced with a difficult choice without a lot of time to make a well-thought-out decision. As is often the case with much of the game, there are many decisions that have to be handled which can affect other things down the line, and particularly when trying to roleplay it can be hard to know what the right choice is. Dogtown residents Jacob and Taylor may talk tough, but whether they deserve the maximum punishment for their actions is ultimately up to the player to decide.

V and President Myers are in hiding and peacefully enjoying a drink while not-so-peacefully listening to a radio broadcast when the situation happens. Although killing NPCs in video games does not often require much of deep moral debate, when there is a chance to save someone and make a friend instead, it might not be a bad idea.

Depending on where a player's focus is, and how loyal they may feel to the President, this choice of whether to kill Jacob and Taylor could be a very quick and simple decision. Before even discussing the matter with them, Rosalind Myers wants to protect herself and keep control of the situation by eliminating any possibility of being found out, which means killing the two men. The game gives dialogue options, however, that V can potentially take if careful, which could actually lead to Jacob and Taylor being potential
