Rosalind Myers is the President of the New United States, and rescuing her is the main objective of 's first act. Prior to the DLC's start, President Myers' helicopter was hacked, and has crash-landed in the lawless district of Dogtown with the wreckage straddling the territory of two rival gangs. V is first sent to Dogtown by Song «Songbird» So Mi, a skilled Netrunner and the President's right-hand woman, to rescue Myers. However, the President has her own suspicions, and soon teams up with FIA agent Solomon Reed to put a stop to some of Songbird's more dangerous activities. V is required to say yes to continue the DLC; choosing the wrong option here can ruin the rest of .
During the introductory missions of, V must save President Myers from the swathes of Dogtown gangsters descending on her. If V fails this mission in any way — if the gangs get to her first, if the President dies, if V dies — they'll instantly fail the mission, and see a secret DLC ending. Johnny Silverhand appears, and explains that V is responsible for President Myers' death. That's okay, though; he never cared for her anyway. The two go out for a drink together, and return to the base game of unchanged.
