Adding to the expansive arsenal available in the base game of , adds a number of new Iconic weapons to the game. While many can be found by simply playing through the DLC's story missions, the locations of others can be especially hard to pinpoint. Some weapons, for example, may only be made available through certain quests or decisions, while others might be hidden in subtle ways or placed in obscure locations. And, as Iconic weapons tend to have effects that can't be replicated by any other piece of gear, missing them may deprive a playthrough of unique gameplay.
While many of 's Iconic weapons, such as Her Majesty or the Rasetsu, are given to V as part of the story or at the end of certain quests or gigs, others have to be found in the world and can potentially be missed or overlooked. As many of these weapons can only be accessed in certain quest-specific areas, missing them the first time might mean they can't be picked up later, or at least that there might not be any reason to revisit the areas where they can be found. Although some missed Iconic weapons may later turn up in 's black market, this method of obtaining them is both unreliable and costly.

A Power sniper rifle that fires explosive shots and gains increased damage from killing enemies while hip-firing, the NDI Osprey is a fairly unique weapon among 's array of snipers, and while it's technically not difficult to find, it can very easily be missed.
