Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty's Horror Mission Is Stressing Fans Out

Horror isn't for everyone, and gamers that would rather sit back and get engrossed in a story rather than scare the living daylights out of themselves usually spring for an RPG like Skyrim or Cyberpunk 2077. However, game developers like to mix things up every now and then, bringing certain elements of the horror genre into their RPGs for a one-off spooky mission that has everyone just wanting to chill out with an RPG cowering behind their cushions.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is one such example of this. While the base game had its spooky moments, nothing could have prepared those excited to dive into the Phantom Liberty expansion for the mission 'Somewhat Damaged', as those that have powered their way through it are labelling the section as a mini spiritual successor to Alien Isolation.

First shared by GamesRadar, a thread of traumatized Cyberpunk 2077 fans popped up on the game's subreddit, full of people that were caught completely off guard by how much the mission had them curled up in a corner. For those that don't know what the mission entails, it essentially turns Cyberpunk 2077 into a survival horror game, stripping V of all their weapons and tasking you with searching around an abandoned base while a spider mech prowls the halls searching for you.

It's pretty intense if you're not a horror junkie, such as Reddit user u/Willow_Gardens who was apparently "freaking out" when they first played through it. Another user says that they were "shitting [their] pants from the vibe", while another says that "only Alien Isolation made me this afraid".
