New World ’s latest update is set to go live overnight, bringing the return of Nightveil Hallow, and opportunities to fight Baalphazu once more. In addition to the Halloween event, the update has a whole bunch of fixes and improvements across the board.
Nightveil Hallow returns starting tomorrow and running through November 14th. This time there's a little bit of mystery with the team adding candy into the festivities. Candy in New World will be a limited time consumable and you'll have to discover what each type actually does. You'll get to transform into costumes and look like characters like Captain Thorpe to celebrate the season. Group up to take on Baalphazu and his minions for rewards. There will be new event rewards to get your hands on, and several returning ones as well.
The new Umbral Rite store release is also here for spooky season, with skins like the Séance Mask Bundle, Midnight Portents Bundle, and even a T-rex walk emote.
All throughout the game, there have been a number of fixes and adjustments, including a Few quest fixes. Some of the quest didn't have the proper alerts and some of them were preventing players from progressing, and these are addressed in the update.
Number of the fixes are expansion specific, such as one bug that was preventing anyone from teleporting or summoning their amount at shrines. artifacts also get a couple of fixes to balance them, including some tweaks to the perks that you get from the artifacts themselves. The new flail also gets some tweaks to fix issues and to balance out that weapon as well. The new mount system gets a number of fixes as well, including animation corrections, and even stopping the sheath weapons from making super loud noises when mounted up.
