We’re back in another Call of Duty life cycle and this time it’s for the remake of Modern Warfare 3. However, there’s still a ton of time between and November 10th, and if you played the last few betas, you’re probably super excited. If you can’t wait till then, there may be a trick to get into earlier than most. This guide will how to use a certain trick so you can COD MW3’s campaign a little early.
The trick in question revolves around setting your console or PC to New Zealand’s location. They usually get games earlier than the rest of the world which makes me jealous. But alas, in some cases we can enjoy that privilege. If you simply can’t wait any longer to play MW3, you can use this trick and be one of the first to get in.
MW3’s story launches on November 3rd. On top of that, you’ll need to pre-order any version digitally to get early access. Additionally, this trick might work for the multiplayer section so you could play modes like Cutthroat early on.
To set your platform on the country’s location it’s quite easy to do on Xbox and PC. Simply head into the setting and make your way to the time and date panel. Then select New Zealand from the menu.
For PlayStation, it requires a few extra steps.
For this to work, don’t buy or pre-order COD MW3 just yet.
Once you’ve done the steps above, you might be able to play MW3 according to New Zealand’s time zone.
I would say if you can’t wait then try it. On the other hand, like last year you may run into the chance of having your copy locked till it comes out in your region. I’ve always been excited for new games to come out, even the ones I pre-order. But with waiting you take less of a risk of running into problems like being locked out for a time.
