We have an interesting new rumor about a game that we learned about last year, but has yet to be officially released.
As reported by Insider Gaming, insider Kurakasis claims that 2K Games is about to reveal their Lego football game. This is what Kurakasis said on Twitter:
“I just woke up and, well… that escalated quickly, lol. To keep it simple:
I don’t know if 2K is making a new FIFA game; it’s an old rumour.
I wanted to tell you that LEGO 2K Goooal! announcement is right around the corner, and it’s planned to be released around EURO 2024.”
We first learned about LEGO 2K Goooal! in June of last year. The Korean video game rating agency accidentally made their rating for the title public, making it difficult for 2K Games or Lego to deny. For what it’s worth, none of the parties that would have been involved with the game made any response.
Last year did see the release of LEGO 2K Drive, which was reviewed and performed well, but is perhaps best known for the live service element that gates away enjoying playing the game for too long, unless you are willing to pay on top of the titles full retail price.
While LEGO 2K Drive isn’t particularly popular today, its release continues to be important for completely different reasons. It was the first of many titles to come from a new partnership between LEGO and 2K Games, after LEGO walked away from their longstanding deal with Traveller’s Tales.

But then, it suddenly came to light that management forced the studio to crunch to deliver the game on time, while also making poor decisions like failing to update the company’s game development tools.
Kurakasis added something new to this rumor, that’s a bit unexpected. They claim that it’s being timed to release close to EURO 2024. They didn’t directly state that it has the UEFA EURO license. What is possible, if that isn’t
