A long-time insider has claimed that neither Microsoft nor its subsidiaries are currently working on a PlayStation 5 port for Starfield. The news comes after previous rumors that Starfield may come to PS5 following Xbox's new cross-platform strategy with certain exclusives.
In February, multiple insiders claimed that Starfield would join other Xbox exclusives, like Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves, in jumping to PlayStation 5 in the near future. However, if true, this claim combined with Spencer's previous comments would solidify the possibility that Starfield will remain an Xbox and PC exclusive for the foreseeable future.
PlayStation fans can still look forward to the release of other Xbox exclusives on Sony's platform, like Hi-Fi Rush on March 19, Grounded on April 16, Sea of Thieves on April 30, and Pentiment, which is already available. It's still unclear when or if another wave of Xbox exclusives going
