Anyone who's taken even a quick glance at the Helldivers 2 community has probably heard the phrase "Robot Vietnam". That refers to the planet Malevelon Creek, renowned for both its difficulty and the constant stream of players fighting over it, known as Creekers. No planet gets more attention than Malevelon Creek, to the point where it's causing tension within the playerbase.
Now, it looks like even developer Arrowhead has had enough, and wants players to divert their efforts elsewhere. "Long standing as a bastion of human endurance and a symbol of our resistance against the Automatons, Malevelon Creek remains locked in a stalemate with an average 25% of our forces committed to its defense and eventual liberation, though success on Draupnir, Ubanea, and eventually Tibit seems unlikely with such a large contingent diverted elsewhere..."
In other words - Creekers are free to play elsewhere for a bit. The surrounding planets are in much more dire need of liberation. But given how much of a meme it is at this point, they probably won't as the Creekers and their unending fight for the planet have become part of Helldivers lore.
The community is split on how to deal with Creekers. Some say they should be left to their own devices, allowed to play
