In an interview with Starwars.com, Jennifer Corbett, the head writer and executive producer ofThe Bad Batch, hinted at the potential return of Asajj Ventress in a future Star Wars project. Corbett expressed that there is 'unfinished business' with Nika Futterman, the voice behind Ventress. Ventress, known for her skills as a dual-lightsaber-wielding Sith assassin under Count Dooku's command, had her story take unexpected turns in the past, left incomplete due to the show's cancellation. Now, Corbett suggests they have the opportunity to delve further into Ventress's narrative.
“Ventress is one of our all-time favorite characters,” shares executive producer Brad Rau. “So, when Dave brought up the idea of bringing her into The Bad Batch, we were beyond excited.” Although Ventress's story did not end on screen but rather in Star Wars: Dark Disciple, a novel adapted from unused scripts of The Clone Wars, executive producers Corbett and Rau, along with series creator Dave Filoni, had a different vision.
