Fans of both Baldur's Gate 3 and Stardew Valley are in for a treat, with the Baldur’s Village project combining both games into one. This mod for Stardew Valley will add all of the main characters from Baldur's Gate 3 into the game, giving you an excuse to romance them all over again.
The small team of fans working on the project are trying to launch Baldur's Village before August. Right now, they've got four companions in the works - Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and Halsin - but the rest of the gang will be added too.
It seems like Baldur's Village is the perfect crossover for much of the fanbase, since this will let you woo your favourite companions without the threat of the Absolute looming over your head. Instead, we'll be kicking back in the farm life sim, exploring the titular Baldur’s Village and the new storylines added alongside the companions.
The creator has also responded to those in the replies eager to know if they'll be able to kiss Wyll, Karlach and the rest of the gang in the mod. "To answer all the questions about the main characters: they'll all be there, but my Apple Pencil needs more time," says Xun. Which is more than fair, since the team is doing this for free.
Right now, it's the artwork that seems to have gotten the most attention. It's easy to see why - pixelated Shadowheart and Astarion are absolutely adorable, and fit into the Stardew-aesthetic very well. Especially Shadowheart, which isn't much of a surprise, given that one of her endings sees her basically live out the plot of Stardew Valley herself.
The team doesn't have a release date for us just yet, but they want to get it out before Baldur's Gate 3's first anniversary on August 3. They're aiming to release it on Nexus Mods, where it will be available for free, as long as you have a copy of Stardew Valley installed on PC.
