With the latest build of The War Within Alpha, we got a first look at the new profession feature Concentration, a mechanic designed to help guarantee max rank crafts when skill alone is insufficient. With it comes a limitation that concentration is a limited resource that slowly regenerates after depletion.
It looks like a fully depleted concentration will regenerate in about 48 hours.
Recharge time for 1 seems to be between 5-6 minutes so it's gonna take 41-49 hours to recharge 500 concentration atm and it doesn't look like there's any skill points to increase it either.
How much you use changes though as things get easier to craft, im positive about it
The numbers are a little off depending on profession and craft, but the skill difference requires a different amount of concentration depending on how far you are from having the appropriate skill ..
SoulSoBreezy has a great video going through how it works and also his concerns over how racial bonuses can give an unfair advantage at the cutting edge of efficiency..
Overall, the idea of taking the RNG out of max crafts means for a more satisfying interaction with potential customers not feeling scammed. It certainly feels like there is more choice for those that haven't quite min/maxed their stats, but can still craft «the best» seeing as no-one wants anything else.
