That said, a recent announcement on its official X account may finally breathe some new life into the struggling title.
The X account posted an image of Zords in silhouette with a date at the bottom of June 17, 2024. Although there are no details associated with the post, this would point to some sort of announcement or release related to and sometime next month.
Although the picture is fairly obvious with what the crossover will be, as the iconic Zords in the background, along with the iconic color scheme representing each Ranger, it's up in the air as to what the crossover will actually entail. It could be something related to a mod or DLC, or it could also involve the television show, as the recently debuted in March.
Ark: Survival Ascended is a graphical revamp of Survival Evolved using UE5, but questions of what else has changed are worth exploring.
Though it would seem like a completely out-of-left-field addition to the survival crafting game, a crossover is actually not that strange at all. After all, embraces technology in the latter stages of the game, with advanced Tek being the center focus of advanced builds. There's also the Tek Creatures, which closely resemble the Zords already in, particularly in the Tek Rex from , which looks similar to the iconic red T-Rex Zord. That said, the original release for the Tek content in the original game also closely reflected, so this may just be what it is.
Ark: Survival Ascended carries over 140 dinosaurs from the original game, but some that can be tamed ones are cooler and have more uses than others.
