Ubisoft has revealed Assassin’s Creed Shadows, a new instalment in the long-running series, and we’ve got all you need to know about the release date, pre-orders and gameplay details — and we even have a couple of trailers for your perusal.
Previously known as Codename Red, we’ve finally gotten a proper look at what to expect.
We’re still waiting on finding out more about Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, too, but at least the hype for Shadows will keep us busy for now.
Where it will fall on the scale of the best and worst Assassin’s Creed games is anyone's guess, but fans are optimistic Shadows will deliver.
If Assassin’s Creed Mirage was anything to go by, it definitely appears that Ubisoft is trying to capture what made earlier games so fun.

You can also play Assassin’s Creed Shadows three days early if you purchase the appropriate edition of the game, which we will cover in the next section.
