Yesterday, Bethesda released the latest beta update for the Steam version of Starfield. Update 1.10.30 lets players test a list of changes before they're publicly released on all platforms, including new facial expressions and postures in photo mode.
As it teased last week, Bethesda is emphasizing quality-of-life improvements. The beta update includes hundreds of changes, from bug fixes to graphical errors. The biggest change, though, may be the addition of new poses and facial expressions for you and your companions, providing players with more creative freedom in photo mode.
We've just put @StarfieldGame Update 1.10.30 into Steam Beta, containing new photo mode expressions and our largest number of fixes and improvements yet.

Some other highlights include removing the penalty of losing a Digipick when you press the "undo" command during the Security mini-game. Several players in the Starfield community have criticized the Digipick mini-game and its difficulty, with some resorting to using mods to simplify it to avoid losing multiple Digipicks from mistakes. There's also a fix for the Ryujin Industries quest "Sabotage," where many players could not complete the mission because a key NPC was not spawning in the location.
The support for Starfield is part of Bethesda's plan to have "a steady stream of updates about every six weeks" as the developer continues to try and improve the game in a variety of ways, from introducing new content to fixing bugs.
