Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s 1.002.000 update was released today, March 7. Its marquee feature is the long-awaited New Game+ mode, which also lets players exceed the base game’s level cap. Other New Game+ features included new symbiote suit styles from Ultimate difficulty progression. NG+ Players can also upgrade their Gadgets with new golden aesthetics and unlock both perks in a shared Suit Tech slot. Finally, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 players can unlock a new PlayStation trophy by completing a New Game+ playthrough.
Other new features include the option to replay a mission as many times as the player wants. The update also lets Spider-Man 2 players change the post-game’s time of day and Symbiote colors in the post-game. Both options are available in the Gameplay settings and will go great with the new photo mode options. The latter includes new stickers and an Action Figure Mode that scales characters down to toy size. The update additionally adds two Hellfire Gala Suits and the Gameheads Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack. Available via purchase, the Suit Pack adds a suit each for Peter and Miles, 10 Photo Mode Stickers, and two Frames.
Meanwhile, version 1.002.000’s accessibility features include audio descriptions, an audio screen reader, customizable captions, and an option for mono audio. Spider-Man 2’s other new accessibility options include the high contrast outlines and various other interface settings. Players can also now disable the DualSense controller’s touchpad in combat.
