Resident Evil Village's Scriptwriter Says Lady Dimitrescu Is Gay
Resident Evil Village's scriptwriter, Antony Johnston, has revealed on Instagram that Lady Dimitrescu is gay, noting that "the only thing about men that makes Lady D horny is their blood".
It seems like a lifetime ago that Resident Evil Village's first major boss, Lady Dimitrescu, burst on the scene and completely took over the game's marketing, sending everyone on the internet into a thirsting frenzy. Seriously, Capcom was giving away life-sized towels of her at one point, that's how big of a deal she was. Oh, to go back to simpler times.

It seems that some of the fanbase might have been barking up the wrong tree, however, as Resident Evil Village's scriptwriter has confirmed in an Instagram post that Lady Dimitrescu is gay, something that's not explicitly said in the games, since there's not too much time to focus on her love life while she's cutting off Ethan Winters' hand and trying to suck his blood.
Despite never being mentioned, fans have been headcanoning Lady Dimitrescu being gay for as long as she's been around and, as it turns out, there's a lot of truth to it. Responding to a feature from Pink News highlighting nine lesbians in gaming who changed the industry for Lesbian Visibility Week, Antony Johnston, Village's scriptwriter, confirmed that he'd written Lady Dimitrescu as gay.
Johnston said, "I can’t speak for everyone else at Capcom, obv, but as far as I’m concerned the only thing about men that makes Lady D horny is their blood". As you can imagine, the comments underneath Johnston's post are mostly incredibly positive, with one Instagram user saying, "WE WON! BIG W FOR THE LESBIANS!!!!!", and another writing, "9.9 MOTHERQUAKE OFF THE CHARTS".
