The VR Mode for Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake finally received some gameplay at the PlayStation Showcase, and it looks pretty good. Exclusive to PlayStation VR2, it allows players to play as Leon S. Kennedy from the first-person perspective, parrying attacks with a knife in one hand and firing at enemies with the other. Check it out below.
Players must also manually reload weapons and fight off the Chainsaw Man with a knife up close. The overall gameplay looks sleek while maintaining the gritty visuals of the reboot. Further details, including a release date, will be revealed later.
The VR Mode is a free DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake on PS5. It’s the second major update for the title following The Mercenaries (available on all platforms). Rumors claim that Separate Ways, a mini-campaign starring Ada Wong, will be added as a paid expansion later this year. Stay tuned for more details on that in the coming months.
