After much pleading from fans, Capcom finally confirmed they were working on Dragon’s Dogma 2 last year, but the announcement sadly didn’t come with any gameplay footage. Well, the wait for our first look at Dragon’s Dogma 2 finally came to an end at today’s big PlayStation Showcase, and the game looks like it should measure up to fans’ lofty expectations.
The new Dragon’s Dogma 2 trailer shows off glimpses of the game’s large open world, heavy-hitting magical combat, lots of strange creatures, and a fair amount of story-driven drama. It looks like the game will be leaning heavily into emergent gameplay, as we see plenty of interesting moments, like a troll taking out a party by destroying a bridge, somebody attacking a griffin in mid-air, and more.
