They clarified that this is not «unusual» for the franchise. And while some fans may not be happy to learn that they will potentially have to wait longer to play Resident Evil 9 than expected, the good news is that a different game in the series may help tide them over.
In the same comment, AestheticGamer said that they have «seen it suggested» that a different Resident Evil game could be announced and released before Resident Evil 9 now, thanks to the latter's apparent internal delay.
