Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro during its September event this week, and the big new feature (from my perspective) was the 15 Pro’s ability to play console games.
During the event, Apple showed off and announced Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, and Assassins Creed Mirage will arrive over the coming months.
Following the event, we learned that Death Stranding was also on its way. This is all thanks to Apple’s new A17 chip, which features MetalFX upscaling, its own version of DLSS or FSR, and hardware ray tracing support.
Look, even though I’m an Android gamer at heart, I can’t deny that this news is deeply impressive. I watched the Apple event, and felt pretty fiercely jealous about this news.
So much so, I’ve been hoping Google would quickly announce something competitive. After all, there is a precedent. When Apple announced Arcade, Google was quick to retort with the Play Pass.
And while Google might well be cooking something up, it’s actually RedMagic who got the first shot in. In a recent tweet, posted below, RedMagic showed off Cyberpunk 2077 running on a RedMagic 7S Pro.
