Like many other sandbox games, Cyberpunk 2077 has its own police force. But also like other sandbox games, they hardly pose much of a threat. If you're caught committing a crime, just speed away from them for a minute or so, and all is forgiven. Hell, you can go on a murder spree and just hide behind a wall. Eventually, they'll call it a day and end the manhunt.
Finally, that's all changed with the Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.0 update. Now, police encounters are just as dangerous as they ought to be in a place as oppressive and dystopian as Night City. Better yet, getting so much heat that MaxTac is sent after you is pretty much a death sentence, as players find these revamped cyberpsycho fighters "unkillable" in battle - even at higher levels.

Over on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, fans are sharing their attempts to take down MaxTac - and it isn't going great. In the clip below, the player barely has time to leave their vehicle before a MaxTac soldier zips over with their sandevistan, taking them out instantly.
As another player notes, even nicking a weaponised police vehicle will barely do you any good. As long as there's a squad of these trained killers on you, surviving comes down to far more than finding a big gun, as you instead use everything in your arsenal to outsmart the killing machines on your tail.
I just tested it out on the max level save I've had since launch, and yep, I got my ass handed to me real quick. Some players are saying they have managed to best MaxTac, but most of us are still struggling, and it's easy to see why. Nothing can prepare you for having one of the deadliest factions after you, hellbent on flatlining you.
