The game's third patch is massive, just like the two before it.

Patch 3 for Baldur's Gate 3 has just arrived, and like its two predecessors, it's a doozy. The two biggest changes the patch brings are full Mac support and the ability to change your character's appearance via a magic mirror.
With the magic mirror (found at your camp), you can change your character's appearance, voice, pronouns, and genitals. Your race/subtype and body type cannot be changed. Additionally, cosmetic changes--like certain replacements eyes--that are a result of character choices are permanent. You can't use the magic mirror to change Origin characters, hirelings, or uh… transformed characters.

Performance should also be stabilized on both PC and PS5, especially in the janky Act 3. Performance in the Lower City and in dense crowds specifically have been improved. More related fixes are still coming. As for console-specific repairs, quality mode on PS5 should hit fps targets more often. An issue on PS5 which crashed the game if it was connected to the internet also seems to have been fixed, based on our experience, though it isn't explicitly mentioned in the patch notes.
Further updates bringing new features and epilogue changes are still on the way. You can read the highlights of the patch notes below and check out the full (spoiler-inclusive) notes on the Baldur's Gate 3 website.
