The Cyberpunk 2077 video game franchise stumbled out of the gate. There were several problems that the studio needed to take control of. This open-world RPG was so poorly received at launch for certain platforms that even PlayStation removed it from their digital storefront for some time. Since then, the game has turned itself around and has become more praised by fans. It took the developers quite a bit of time, but they didn’t give up on the video game installment, and they are certainly not giving up on the franchise as a whole. A new project is underway, which will see a live-action adaptation set within the universe of Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 has captivated quite a large audience now. It’s a thrilling open world in a futuristic city where crime, greed, and lawlessness create an exciting backdrop. You never know what is around the corner, who will have a job for you, and what exactly that job will entail. We also can’t forget to mention the cyberware that players can install, which further buffs their protagonist in incredible new ways. We saw a new resurgence for Cyberpunk 2077 when CD Projekt Red saw the release of its hit Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Now, it looks like they are working on a live-action series in partnership with Anonymous Content. Announced through their CD Projekt Red press release, the post unveils that Anonymous Content has brought out some Emmy-winning series in the past, such as True Detective and Mr. Robot. Details are essentially nonexistent outside of the fact that it will be set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 but will tell a new storyline.
