Survival is of utmost importance in Lords of the Fallen. As a Soulslike game, you can expect challenging enemies and deadly environments, all looking to give you a headache. Our guide discusses how to get Saintly Quintessence in Lords of the Fallen, an item used to upgrade your Sanguinarix flask. Hopefully, the extra charges and increased healing would be enough to see you through each fight. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains minor spoilers.
You can upgrade your flask in Lords of the Fallen by giving the required number of Saintly Quintessence to Pieta, an NPC in the Skyrest hub. Each time you hand over the necessary items, you'll either gain an extra flask charge or an increase to the amount of healing done.
As for the Lords of the Fallen Saintly Quintessence items themselves, these usually come from tormented souls in the Umbral Realm, which tend to have golden glows. You'll need to do a Soulflay action with your Umbral Lamp to pull the loot so you could pick it up. So far, we've found 16 Saintly Quintessence during our playthrough, but there might be more. We've organized our list based on when we reached these areas in the campaign.
You really can't miss the first Saintly Quintessence item in the game. It'll be right in front of you as you proceed further into the Umbral section of the tutorial area.
You'll find a Saintly Quintessence in the room where you fight Scourge Sister Delyth. It's right next to the orbs that you need to destroy to remove her buffs.
Upon reaching the first large bonfire, you'll notice a house next to a flooded area. Switch to the Umbral Realm and grab this item in the back corner before the moth creatures start attacking you.
