Diablo 4 Steam Deck verification is coming next week alongside the game's launch on Steam and the start of Season 2.
Blizzard's latest Diablo installment already works on Valve's handheld, but after next week, the title will be fully verified for Steam Deck. Blizzard's Global Community Development Director, Adam Fletcher, confirmed that on Twitter some hours ago. "We can happily say that Diablo IV will be Steam Deck Verified starting next Tuesday with the launch of the game on Steam and the start of Season of Blood", Fletcher, who goes by the name 'PezRadar' wrote on Twitter.
We have been hearing some questions regarding Steam Deck verification for #DiabloIV.

As said, Diablo 4 is already compatible with Steam Deck and runs pretty well. What this new verification means is that, upon becoming available on Steam, it will offer full controller support and appropriate controller input icons without showing any compatibility warnings. Also, Diablo 4 will support the handheld's default resolution of 1280x800 or 1280x720 with good default settings. Last but not least, verification means that Diablo 4 will be supported by Proton, including anti-cheat support (if running through Proton).
Diablo 4 is available worldwide now for PC and consoles. Starting next week on October 17, the title will also be made available through Steam, and fans will be able to experience the game's next season - Season of Blood. This new season focuses on the Vampiric theme and will offer a new questline, items, endgame bosses, vampiric powers, and more.
