CD Projekt Red is partnering with Anonymous Content, known for producing films such as The Revenant and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and series such as True Detective and Mr. Robot, to develop a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 project.
While details are scarce right now, this project appears to be a TV show given that CDPR is working directly with Anonymous Content Studios' head of television Garret Kemble, as well as chief creative officer David Levine who previously worked as HBO's EVP and co-head of drama. He oversaw series like True Detective, Westworld, and Game of Thrones. It's also being helmed by AC Studios which is known for series such as Saint X, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, Time Bandits, and Disclaimer.

"The new project is at an early development stage and has currently commenced searching for a screenwriter to tell a brand-new story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077," CDPR wrote in a news post. "The project will be developed in close collaboration with the Cyberpunk 2077 creative team."
This isn't the first time CD Projekt Red has expanded on the world of Cyberpunk 2077. On top of a series of comics, it released a Netflix anime series called Edgerunners in collaboration with Studio Trigger, and earlier this year, it released a novel written by Rafal Kosik called NO_COINCIDENCE. Like the show, comics, and novel, this new live-action project will expand on the world rather than adapting the game as we've seen with recent series such as The Last of Us.
