Cyberpunk 2077 is already a rather nice-looking game. With the game set in the distant dystopian future, Night City is something that might have you just taking in the sights. We also just had a significant update and the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion. However, going beyond that, you will find that there are a slew of mods to make Night City even more attractive to explore. That said, if you want to just take in Night City without having anything drastically changed from what the developers brought into the game, then there is the HD Reworked Project 2.0 you might find of interest.
This mod comes from the creator behind The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project. Essentially, the mod looks to improve the graphics by reworking the game assets. You should see an overall more detailed world as you explore. But more importantly, this mod aims also to keep the original art style. So, if you enjoyed the world CD Projekt Red crafted, then you will find that this mod shouldn’t change anything outside of giving you more details and enhanced visuals. Best of all, this mod also looks to provide good performance, so don’t think that your PC will take a hit if you download this mod.
There are two download files available as well. It boils down to what your GPU can provide in terms of VRAM. If you have a GPU that can spare the VRAM, then you can download the Ultra Quality, which is aimed at 2K/4K displays. Meanwhile, there is the Balanced file, so it still maintains high texture quality but is more for graphics cards with less memory. Of course, if you find that the mods don’t work out, you can always uninstall the mod and go back to the base version.
