Razer has jumped into the arcade controller market with the Razer Kitsune, an all-button arcade controller that forgoes the traditional joystick setup. This tournament-grade arcade fighting controller includes a quad movement button layout and offers Razer low-profile linear optical switches for precision and instantaneous inputs. Players can also expect a slim portable form factor for easy transportation and setup along with a cable security clasp and tournament lock switch for uninterrupted playthroughs. The Kitsune is an evolved, ultra-precise arcade controller that is compatible with PlayStation 5 and PC. Razer has foregone the joystick to eliminate errors and mishaps when in the heat of the battle.
The controller offers a removable aluminum top plate that allows for an ultra premium look and feel. Razer has taken the aluminum composition straight from the Razer Blade laptops. It allows players to customize its appearance. The Kitsune is also comes with Chroma RGB compatibility which can be customized via Razer Synapse on PC. To add more to a custom look, Street Fighter enthusiasts can celebrate the launch of Street Fighter 6 with a custom Cammy and Chun-Li version of the Razer Kitsune. Razer has collaborated directly with Capcom on the designs for this stick.
The Razer low-profile linear optical switches aim to lessen actuation on the controller. Razer is removing traditional push buttons from standard fight sticks and aim to bring its keyboard technology that uses fiber optic lighting to measure the actuation point and bring lightning fast responses to fighting.
