Considering how AI has become a popular aspect for all companies to work at, we are hearing more and more reports about various tech giants dabbling into it. Apple, Samsung, Google, you name it, and you will find them working in AI in one way or another and now we have some information about how Samsung is currently working on an 'ultra-large AI system' that is being led by the research division, and of course, it will be done in-house.
Samsung appears to be using all the GPU resources that the company has access to, and the source tells us that the AI system will debut as an initial release sometime in July, later this year. The source does claim that it is the company's take on LLM (large language model), so this could mean that the South Korean tech giant wants to come up with something that can battle the likes of Bard and ChatGPT. This definitely is a good thing considering how we definitely need some competition.
Sadly, at the time of writing, there are not many details available on what that Samsung is working on or just how powerful this new large language model will be. However, considering how the company is using all the available GPU resources, it certainly looks promising. This also means that Apple could finally delve even deeper into AI. As you may have noticed, the company has not been actively talking about artificial intelligence for some time now, but if the competition is bringing the heat, then Apple will have to step up.
Thankfully, July is not that far, so we can expect some more information to come forward about the upcoming large language model by Samsung. I am really hoping that it is something that that company implements into the One UI to make the overall software experience even better, but
