Following his appearance in a post-credits scene in Fast X, a movie starring Jason Momoa and Dwayne Johnson might be in the works.

In a video posted to his Twitter earlier this month, Johnson confirmed that he’ll star in an untitled standalone Fast & Furious movie that takes place during Fast X. He’ll be opposite Jason Momoa in the film, who played the recent movie’s antagonist Dante.
The star also discussed why he chose to return to the franchise, citing the explosive fan reaction to Fast X’s post-credits scene that featured Johnson’s return as Luke Hobbs. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that the movie is neither a full sequel or a spin-off, but rather a “Fast X.5.”
The new movie will be written and produced Chris Morgan and produced by Johnson and his partners at Seven Bucks Productions Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia. It will also be produced by series star Vin Diesel and Samantha Vincent through their company One Race, Jeff
