Shared on Twitter by user JShugz89, an image of a boxed copy of Final Fantasy 16 in the hands of presumably a fan has been making the rounds, suggesting that copies have been released a week early and that spoilers could soon make their way onto social media in the run-up to release. There aren't any other reported cases of people receiving the game early just yet, though it's fairly unlikely this will be an isolated incident.

In any case, it might be best for all you Final Fantasy fans out there hoping to play the latest game unspoiled to start deleting all of those pesky social media apps until you get to play it for yourself.
